Hi! I’m Jess Davidoff and I’m a popcorn obsessed mom of these two little boys with corn allergies. For the first 2.5 years of my older son’s life, he struggled with a series of severe medical problems that 32 doctors couldn’t figure out. 

All of his hair fell out, his nails peeled completely off, he had intense eczema, and he’d wake most nights screaming in pain and vomiting. 

I took matters into my own hands and tracked everything he ate and slowly started to eliminate trigger foods and then one day I added corn to a dish that had never given him any problems.

BOOM!

He had a full blown allergic reaction and then a confirmed corn allergy. 

We went completely corn-free and ALL of his medical problems vanished within a month. We started making everything from scratch since there are over 1800 corn derivatives and most things tasted great.

The thing I REALLY missed was popcorn. I started popping other grains, but most of them tasted like bad rice cakes. And then I found SORGHUM and we all fell in love.

It’s insanely delicious, packed with anti-inflammatory polyphenols and nutrients, and its tiny size and soft hulls meant it wasn’t a choking hazard for my kids and wouldn’t get stuck in my teeth.

We started making it all the time for friends and just took the plunge to launch it as the first gluten and corn-free food company in America. Our popcorn will be the first of many sorghum-based products and we hope you love it as much as we do.

MISSION

We’re making the gluten-free foods you crave, without the corn. We’re taking things back to a time when the foods we love were made with all natural, good-for-you ingredients that mimic how you’d make them in your own kitchen.

VISION

The vast majority of gluten-free foods replace wheat with corn. But if you’re trying to eat well AND gluten-free, corn really isn’t what you want to be eating all the time. It’s low in nutrient density, highly inflammatory, hard-to-digest, and is most likely either GMO or covered in pesticides.

Sorghum, on the other hand, is packed with anti-inflammatory polyphenols, has the lowest glucose of all grains, and is loaded with all sorts of amazing nutrients. It’s also extremely versatile and is great for the environment!

Our vision is to create a universe of sorghum-based gluten and corn-free foods the way you’d make them in your own kitchen - without the GMOs, fillers, additives, preservatives, fortifications, artificial ingredients, and flavors.
